Q Part of our reading this semester discusses the daily schedules prison inmates must follow and the activities in which they regularly engage while incarcerated. For this assignment, you are two prepare a daily schedule for an inmate who is serving a five-year sentence for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. The inmate's day begins with roll call at 7:00 am, and ends with lights out at 9:00 pm. You may schedule your inmate for whatever classes, treatments, work details, etc. you feel are helpful within those times. Remember to account for essential tasks such as showering and meals. With each item in the inmate's schedule, you should include a brief single paragraph explanation of how and why this activity will help the inmate. This information should be compiled into a document formatted and submitted as follows: 1) 1.5 spaced, Times New Roman or Arial 12-point font, with one-inch margins 2) Not less than two nor more than four pages, not including any cover pages or works cited lists. Papers with less than two properly formatted pages will be considered suspect, and I will stop reading at the end of the fourth page. 3) If you cite any outside sources for this assignment, you must include a works cited page. 4) This assignment is due at 11:59 pm on Friday, September 28th. Absent approval from me in accordance with the policies outlined in the syllabus, late submissions will not be accepted. You will primarily be graded based on three factors: 1) Creativity in identifying services and activities that will help your inmate successful reenter society. You should assume they have had no infractions while in prison, sold but did not actually use the cocaine, and graduated high school but had no education or training beyond high school. 2) Sufficiency of your explanations for why your inmate needs a particular activity or service. 3) Spelling, grammar, punctuation, and overall presentation.
